I know that there are more options, but I also can get a refurbished or second hand XZ Premium for roughly $98 dollars (excluding shipping and import taxes) on Aliexpress. With a bit more money ($148, again excluding shipping and import taxes), I can get a Xperia 5, but it will be the Japanese version.

I'm most interest in the video experience of Cinematic Pro for Xperia phones and want to do home-made music videos all "do it yourself" style, but that's not an urgency. If I can't get a Sony phone, I'll go with a Samsung S10e/S10/S10+. These aren't cheap here as these Sony I mentioned, but the price stills fair, it's easier to get them and Samsung repair centers still has extra batteries, screen and anything I might need to replace.

How does it perform nowadays? Does it heat while filming videos? 4GB RAM is enough?

I'm thinking about using it as a digital camera for specific purposes because of its pocket friendly size, but I don't know how reliable it would be in performance and camera, even with great specs up to this days.

I would be grateful if an actual user could help me. Thanks!

And that's very frustrating to me. Also VoLTE doesn't work on these versions.

Can't move file larger than 4 GB to external storage on Japanese version (model SO-04J). Also VoLTE isn't available. Worst model ever.

I've always been a lover of Sony since the days Sony Ericsson, but sadly my Sony Xperia XZ Premium disappointed me, firstly from the battery to the speaker as it lasted 2 years (from 2017-2019), before it started giving me issues. Even the Sony Xperia Z i bought in 2013 is still working till date.

That model Sony Xperia XZ Premium didn't hold up in value and integrity in any way!

It's a shame that this phone doesn't have more upgrades... It deserves Android 13! The 807 ppi density is still unbeatable in the market today!

i m a huge fan of sony xperiaXZ premium. been using it for 5 years and still working. I saw some people selling it never used (in box) for the price of $200. I m interested buying it but not sure how long more the phone can cope with the current/future technology like playing youtube, browsing some website etc... i thought with $200 at least i can make use of the 960 fps camera capture mode which is fantastic.
