Fast, reliable and better speakers than the A-line

Great phone, loads everything fast and is great at multitasking!
I previously had a A71 which had specs in par with its generations top flagship phone but it had subpar features to compensate such as terrible single speakers, storage space was good at the time but 128 gbs now isn't enough. This phone is better in everyway, faster, more storage, significantly better speakers, software adjustments have gone a long way and of course, the screen that started as a gimmick but actually adds alot of functionability. It's a bit like having a desktop setup and finally getting a double monitor. At first it just looks fancier but you notice alot of uses for it. Anyways great phone, my only downside is the battery, it's 100 mah less than the 2017-19 A71 which...is lackluster and you quickly notice how quick it drains, especially when using 2 screens. For me I'm okay with it because I still own my old phone and mainly use PC but after a day you might as well put it on to charge without checking.
This will be my last Samsung phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 5G’s Wi-Fi stopped working after less than 2 years, a clearly common issue with the Fold series. Many people on Samsung forums and other online platforms are complaining about the same thing happening just after 2 years when the warranty runs out.

Last month, every time I opened the internal screen, the phone froze and shut off. When powered back on, the Wi-Fi wouldn’t turn on. Reading about others’ experiences online, there seems to be an issue caused by the hinge of the Fold series.

Because my phone has a small scratch on the external screen, this has voided the Samsung warranty, and they want to charge me £800 to fix the Wi-Fi issue by replacing both the internal and external screens despite the internal screen having no damage, scratch whatsoever, which seems fishy to me.

Samsung’s customer service is extremely poor; they just take you around in circles with very little help and a dismissive attitude.

I feel that I have been robbed; the phone cost £1500.
Great phone, terrible quality and or design

Had the fold 3 from launch, first phone I have ever pre-ordered and it is a great concept and I have loved it since I got it. BUT beware if you are thinking of buying the most expensive mobile samsun sells.

I am writing this after 1 & half year ownership

6 months into owning the phone the hing would not fully close which causes the scree protector to peel off, not a great start to a 1600 phone. I took it to a repair centre and was told it was a hinge issue and needs replacing which would take 3 days. Nearly 3 weeks later I finally got it back all working again. Great I thought.

9 months later the same thing happens the hing starts to not fully open and progressly gets worse and then the screen protector bubbles anagin on the hinge area. Book in a session and the samsung experience store. This time they won't fix it and I have apparently dropped it (I have a small scratch on the corner) and this voids the warranty and has bent the hinge so they won't repair it and want £600 to repair it!

Funny thing is if the hinges can bend from a low level drop or knock on the corner and bend the hinge (and bend it in a very even way down the whole phone length!!) Then they must be made from a very inferior material to suffer this damage, and to claim this is the cause is crazy. Also as the hinge progressivly gets worse and opens less it doesnt seem correct that it can be caused by a drop and this would instanly bend the hinge. Seeing as the hinge is the key selling point and functional aspect of these phones it should be much better designed to avoid these failures.

I have posted this as a warning to anyone thinking of buying these phones, they are great and the folding screen is amazing but I would not recommend you get one untill they have really sorted these issues out or unless ur are a someone who leaves there phone is a glass case at home and never touch it :)

Phone features amazing
Phone reliability and construction very very poor
Great, only when it works

When it works it's brilliant. Great for watching things or having multiple apps running. But the major flaw is the lack of development in the screen folding capabilities. I had a Fold 3 (bought new off Samsung.com) which required 3 new screens in under 18 months of use. The first one was after 5 months, inner screen just went. Fixed under warranty but I had to have my own temporary replacement. Second time, some pixels just went (inner screen again) but Samsung refused to fix it under warranty, so I paid for it myself (same Samsung repair center). After 4 weeks of the paid repair, the inner screen went again but due to something inside the hinge mechanism not being fitted correctly (by Samsung). Again they refused to repair it due to their own repair guys not fitting a screen protector when I paid for an authorised repair.
So I gave up on it after 18 months. It's sat in a drawer. I have an S23 ultra now.
