In its normal condition the structure presents an appearance of an ordinary rag doll, theouter head portion 5 being exposed to View and the coat being held in its closed position by means of the belt l'lthe arms l3 and the legs 2!] being exteriorly positioned. It will be noted that the leg portions are always exposed to view and at the bottom of the figure, inasmuch as the doll has not been turned upside down in order to effect the change from one configuration to the other. This constitutes a decided improvement over other reversible doll.

The operation of reversing the doll is obviously simple enough to be effectuated by any child, and yet it requires a manner of manipulation which in itself can prove extremely fascinating.

It is understood that instead of heads 5 and 6, body portions including heads can be employed within the contemplation of this invention-it being also understood that the various embodiments above described and shown in the drawing are illustrative of my invention and not employed by way of limitation, inasmuch as numerous other changes and modifications may be made within the scope of the appended claims without departing from the spirit of this invention.

l. A doll comprising a coat portion with an opening in the side thereof, and two body portions secured to the coat portion in opposed relation to each other, the coat portion being adapted to envelope one of the body portions while the other is exteriorly disposed with respect thereto, the opening in the coat extending to the .region of the body portions whereby the inner body portion is movable through the opening to an exterior position.

A doll comprising a coat portion with an opening in the side thereof, and twobody portions secured at a common juncture to the coat portion in opposed relation to each other, the coat portion being adapted to envelope one of the body portions while the other is exteriorly disposed with respect thereto, the opening in the coat extending to the region of the said juncture whereby the inner body portion is movable through i the opening to anexterior position.

A doll comprisinga coat portion with an opening in the side thereof, and two body portions secured at a common juncture to the coat por tion in opposed relation to each other, the coat portion being adapted to envelope one of the body portions while the other is exteriorly disposed with respect thereto, the opening in the coat extending to the region of the said juncture, the

body portion within the coat being movable about said juncture as an axis and out through the opening to an exterior position.

A doll. comprising a coat. portion with an opening in'the side thereof, and two body porposed relation to each other, the coat portion be ing adapted to envelope one of the body portions while the other is exteriorly disposed with respect thereto, the edges forming said opening being secured together at the region of attachment of the body portions to the coat portion, the inner body portion being movable through the opening to an exterior position.

A doll comprising a coat portion with an opening in the side thereof, two heads, two sets of arms and two belts secured to the coat portion on opposite sides thereof, thecoat being adapted to envelope one of the heads and one set of arms While the other head and arms are exteriorly disposed withrespect thereto, each belt being so positioned as to be adapted to be tied around the head and arms on the same side of the coat portion when enveloped thereby, the heads, arms and belts being operably, movable through said opening upon an operative manipulation of the doll.

7. A dollaccording to claim 6, the oppositely disposed heads, arms and belts being secured to the coat portion at common junctures.

A doll comprising a coat portion with a 1ongitudinal opening in the side thereof, two body portions secured to the coat portion in opposed relation to each other, and two leg portions depending from the bottom of the coat portion, the coat portion being adapted to envelope one of the body portions while} the other is exteriorly disportions depending from the bottom of the coat portion, the coat portion being adapted to envelope one of the body portions while the other is 'exteriorly disposed with respect thereto, the opening in the coat extending to the region of the said juncture, both of said body portions bv" ing rotatable about said juncture as an axis whereby they are operably movable through the saidopening. v

10. A doll comprising a coat portion with an opening in the side thereof, two heads, two sets of arms and two belts secured to'the coat portion on opposite sides thereof, the heads being sevcured to. the coat portion at a common juncture,

the coat being adapted to envelope one of the heads and one set ofarms while the other head and arms are exteriorly disposed with respect thereto, each belt being so positioned as to be adapted to be tied around the head and arms on the same side of the coat portion when enveloped thereby, the heads being rotatable about said juncture as an axis whereby they are operably movable through the opening to effect a reversal of the doll.
