Actress Sridevi who passed away in Dubai on February 24 was quite a celebrated actress in Bollywood and was probably getting ready for her dinner date with husband Boney Kapoor who had surprised her that evening when he flew back to Dubai from Mumbai, stated reports in Khaleej Times. However reports in another daily state that so may not have been the case, apparently, another report states that Sridevi was found unconscious on the bathroom floor by her hotel staff. While a source told Khaleej Times that, “Kapoor, a film producer, flew back from Mumbai and went to her room in the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel around 5:30 in the evening to surprise her with dinner. Boney woke Sridevi up and the couple spoke to each other for 15 minutes before he invited her for dinner. To get ready, the actress went to the washroom. When she did not return for 15 minutes, Kapoor knocked on the door. On not getting any response, he had to force open the door to discover Sridevi lying motionless in the bathtub filled with water. He tried to revive her and when he could not, he called a friend of his. After that, he informed the police at 9 pm." Apparently reports in another daily state that it was not Boney Kapoor but it was the hotel staff who was with the actress in her last moments. The source confirmed to the daily that Sridevi was residing alone when this happened. The source also said that “At around 10.30 pm, she called the room service to request for water. When the server reached her room within 15 minutes, the actor did not attend to multiple doorbells. After a few minutes, fearing something was amiss, the staffer raised an alarm. When we broke into the room, we found her on the bathroom floor. This was around 11 PM. The source also added that while Sridevi Kapoor appeared healthy, even if she felt uneasy the reason would have been attributed to exhaustion from wedding festivities. However, an autopsy was conducted and the late actress’s mortal remains are being brought back to Mumbai for last rites by Anil Ambani’s chartered plane. With 300 films in her filmography, the actress never failed to push the envelope and as Ekta Kapoor put it in her condolence message for the actress, that read, “The strongest women have the weakest hearts sometimes...#RIPSrideviji.” Sridevi was truly a strong woman, while we don’t know if her heart was weak or not, what we know is she has gone too soon.
