Ford EcoSport will see a new version coming in 2018. The images of the new Ford Ecosport Storm have just been revealed by Tracionando and the compact SUV will see significant changes to the interior and exterior in its new avatar. Starting with the exterior tweaks, the new upcoming Ford EcoSport Storm will come with a revised front grille that looks bolder than before. The compact SUV also receives the ‘Storm’ badging in the centre and the fog lamps get a blackish treatment to look more sporty. Besides, you will find small air vents in the beginning of the A-pillar and there are two black stripes as well that run across the bonnet length. The new Ford EcoSport Storm will also get black rear view mirrors to make the car look distinct from the regular model. There is a lot of black used on the car as you will find black door handles, black flares for the fender and back decals with ‘Storm’ badging. The story of the black does not end here. Ford’s popular compact SUV in its Storm edition will also get black roof rails along with roof racks of the same colour. Besides this, the upcoming Ford EcoSport Storm will also get new alloy wheels that will surely step up its desirability factor.

The Ford EcoSport Storm sees some changes inside the cabin as well. The car gets a dual tone finish on the center console and doors. The backrests on the front seats also get Storm badges. Talking about powertrain, internationally, the new Ford EcoSport Storm will get its power from the same 2.0-litre mated to a six-speed automatic transmission system. The engine on the petrol variant is good for 170 hp and 202 Nm, while the diesel mill makes 176 hp and 221 Nm of power and torque respectively.

Keeping in mind the fact that Ford has recently launched the EcoSport facelift in India, there is a very little chance that the company will bring the EcoSport Storm to the country anytime soon. The new Ford EcoSport Storm is primarily targeted at South American markets and we might have to wait for a few more months for its India debut.
