Earlier, Silal had praised Namik Paul. He wrote, "From #QuboolHai to #EkDujeKeVaaste. #NamikPaul you have come a long way. all the best. stay blessed. @namik_paul." Namik responded back by tweeting, "@isalilsand Thank You for the kind words Salil!"

It has to be recalled that the fans stormed to the Sony Entertainment office, to get answers. But, they were not allowed to meet the programming head of the channel. They were shooed away by the security personnel.

The producer of the show, Dilip Jha was unaware of the extension as he was not intimated officially. As per his knowledge, the show is shutting down on October 7.

Namik Paul too, supported the fans as he felt fans were right in a way. But he added that the ‘decision is final nothing can be done'. He further added, "There is nothing that I can do, but clarify myself."

There are even reports that Nikita Dutta has bagged another show or film down the south or so, that led to her exit. Also, her health issue was another setback.

But Nikita denied the rumours. She was quoted by an entertainment portal as saying, "I really hope I get another project soon. But as of now I have not taken up anything. I am taking a tiny break before taking up something new as I need some recovery time. Still not fit and fine."

She further added, "Regarding the replacement bit, I was unwell, hence told my producer that would not be able to resume shoot till I recover completely. I was open and okay to any decision being taken by them as I did not want the show to get affected. However, replacement option didn't work out and now unfortunately Ek Duje is going off air."
