Anne Hathaway is starring in and producing “Live Fast Die Hot,” based on Jenny Mollen‘s recently published book of irreverent essays.

Warner Bros has acquired movie rights to “Live Fast Die Hot,” a New York Times bestseller which was published by Doubleday in June. Gail Berman will also produce and Mollen will be executive producer.

“Live Fast Die Hot” is a follow-up to Mollen’s 2014 bestseller “I Like You Just the Way I Am.” The new book focuses on Mollen, who’s also an actress and is married to actor Jason Biggs, dealing with issues of motherhood, and her travels to Morocco and Peru.

The project will be overseen by Warner Bros. executive Chantal Nong as part of an effort by the studio to recruit female filmmakers and talent.

Hathaway is part of the cast of the caper comedy “Ocean’s Eight” for Warner Bros., which also stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Awkwafina, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Sarah Paulson. She starred with Robert De Niro last year in “The Intern” for Warner. She is repped by CAA and Management 360.

Mollen’s acting credits include “Crazy, Stupid, Love” and the TV series “Angel” and “Return of the Living Dead: Rave From the Grave.” Mollen is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Ziffren Brittenham LLP.
