Jio GigaFiber Triple Play plan will reportedly come with voice, broadband data and more benefits

Jio GigaFiber Triple Play plan might be launched with the broadband service 

Jio GigaFiber is expected to completely disrupt the Indian broadband industry as the service will reportedly be launched with some of the most affordable broadband plans in India. On the other hand, we already know that the Jio GigaFiber Preview offer will come complimentary with a new connection and users will be able to avail 100GB of free monthly data at 100Mbps for the first three months.

Now, according to a report by TelecomTalk, Jio GigaFiber is testing a new Triple Play plan among its employees which comes bundled with unlimited voice calling benefit, broadband data, Jio Home TV or Jio GigaTV and access to the whole suite of Jio apps. It is also expected that the Triple Play will be positioned differently than conventional broadband plans from Jio GigaFiber.

On the other hand, it should be noted that Reliance Jio earlier announced that Jio GigaFiber users will get two routers where one will be used for the broadband connection while the other will be a Jio GigaTV router. It was later revealed that for a new Jio GigaFiber connection, users will have to pay Rs. 4,500 as a security deposit for the two routers while there will be no installation charges.

It should be noted that the report suggests Reliance Jio will be rebranding Jio GigaTV to Jio Home TV once the services are launched and while there has been so much noise about Jio GigaFiber plans and prices, not much has been said about Jio Home TV or Jio GigaTV services. However, Reliance Jio has confirmed that Jio GigaTV services will also come with Jio TV calling on the Jio GigaFiber network.

It is a known fact that Reliance Jio is testing its FTTH broadband services in select Indian cities, there is still no word on when the Jio Home TV services will be rolled out and what kind of benefits it will come with. That said, there had been reports claiming that the Jio GigaFiber plans will be priced starting at Rs. 500 and the base plan will offer 300GB of high-speed broadband data at 100Mbps speed.
