Bulandshahr: The Congress party has been left red-faced after a video of its recently-appointed Bulandshahr chief abusing the party president Sonia Gandhi surfaced.

The Congress party had appointed Kunwar Tauqeer Ali as the Bulandshahr City Congress Committee President on January 8.

However, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Kumar Lallu revoked Ali's appointment after a video of him abusing Gandhi went viral on social media.

Ali had later tendered an apology in a video message but the Congress party has not responded to it as yet. The Congress leader has also clarified that the video is around five to six years old and was taken when he was not associated with the party and its ideology.
