Folks, we have a brand new set of information to share about one of the most highly-anticipated upcoming SUVs in India -- Safari. Yep, we have new Tata Safari 2021 fuel-efficiency figures. Tata Motors is scheduled to reveal 2021 Safari's price in India on 22 February. The home-grown automaker first took the wraps off the upcoming Tata SUV's last month while announcing the car's mass production in the country had commenced. This was followed by a formal unveil later on 26 January, where the 2021 Safari was unveiled in its entirety, including its interior, specs, features, and more. Finally, a few weeks ahead of revealing new SUV's price in India, the company also started accepting 2021 Tata Safari bookings. 

Now, let's quickly get to the key piece of information we came here to discuss. The new Tata Safari SUV will be propelled by a Kryotec 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that belts out a maximum power output of 168 bhp at 3,750 rpm along and a peak torque of 350 Nm between 1,750 rpm to 2,500 rpm. As for the transmission, Tata is offering the upcoming SUV in India with a choice between a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed automatic torque converter automatic gearbox. Tata Safari with the manual gearbox will deliver an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 16.14 km/l, whereas the automatic model will offer a fuel-efficiency figure of 14.08 km/l.

Set to be offered across six variants, namely, XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+, the new Safari SUV will get a plethora of features like Xenon HID projector headlamps, dual function LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, stepped roof, signature twin light LED taillamps, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, etc. Inside, provisions across different trim levels will include an 8.8-inch floating infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, iRA connected technology system, voice recognition, seven-inch instrument panel, nine-speaker JBL sound system, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, etc.
