Amit Shah hits back at Rahul Gandhi; calls it 'Parivar Akrosh Rally'


​AmitShah slammedRahulGandhi through a series of tweets for launching the JanAkroshRally. Calling it a "ParivarAkroshRally", Shah said that this rally is nothing but a display of Congress' resentment towards theBJPand the fact that they have been ousted from many states due to "JanAadesh" orthe mandate of the people. He questioned the Congress for continuous parliamentary disruptions during the recently concluded budget session and also on the formation of theOBCcommission which would seek justice for the backward classes. He also sought an apology fromRahulGandhi for trampling "every possible institution in the country just because of their power hungry nature."
RahulGandhi hasorganisedthe JanAkroshRally inRamlilaMaidan in New Delhi to list the fallacies of theBJP-ledgovernment under Prime MinisterNarendraModi. Sonia Gandhi andManmohanSingh are also expected to address the nation atthis rally. The rally is being considered asRahulGandhi'spoll bugle for the 2019LokSabhaelections.

Roots of corruption became stronger under Modi government’s watch: Sonia Gandhi


Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday mounted a sharp attack on theModigovernment at the party's JanAkroshrally in Delhi, charging that the roots of corruption have become stronger in the NDA regime.
Hitting out at Prime MinisterModi, she questioned what happened to his "Nakhaoonga, nakhanedoonga" (will not engage in corruption myself, nor allow others) slogan.
She charged the government with muzzling dissenting voices, weakening institutions and dividing communities eyeing poll gains.
"Judiciary is passing through an unprecedented crisis. Media can't play is role, it is being stopped from doing so...It is a sensitive phase we need to take seriously...we will fight this on behalf of the people," she told the gathering. (PTI)
