Claude Puel has confirmed he is not looking to send Hamza Choudhury on loan when the transfer window opens on Tuesday.
Choudhury starred in the Foxes' back-to-back wins against Chelsea and Manchester City over the Christmas period, his first Premier League starts of the season.
The Foxes manager previously hinted he would send Choudhury out on loan after an impressive performance against City in the Carabao Cup defeat earlier this month.
“I don’t know his future or whether he will remain with us or we put him on loan but it was important to give him confidence," he said last week.
Now Puel has moved to confirm that, should Choudhury keep up the good form, he will be staying put.
“I think Hamza has shown good quality, good performances," Puel said.
"If he continue this way, his work, it will be a good thing if he remains with us."

City's movement in the January window will be limited.
Puel has previously stated his lack of desire for signing players in the mid-season market , and the only transactions City are likely to do are loan moves away from the club.
“We need all the time to be ready for the winter transfer window but it’s not a good moment to buy players or change the team," he said.
"It’s important to be ready, but the most important thing is to put in place different profiles and we will see in the summer what happens.
"We will see in the winter if we have to move a little or not or to put in loans for other players. All of my players learn and improve.”
