Lara Dutta and Rinku Rajguru-starrer Hundred trailer out. Series to drop on April 25
The 8-part series Hundred, starring Lara Dutta, Rinku Rajguru, Karan Wahi and Rajeev Siddhartha begins streaming on Disney+ Hotstar VIP from April 25.
Disney+ Hotstar dropped the trailer of their new show Hundred on Tuesday, April 21. Hundred stars Lara Dutta and Rinku Rajguru of Sairat fame in the lead. The eight-part series revolves around the misadventures of two completely opposite women - ACP Saumya Shukla (played by Lara Dutta) and Netra Patil (played by Rinku Rajguru).
Hundred, a comedy-action series will begin streaming on Disney+ Hotstar VIP from April 25. The show follows the story of a terminally ill girl, Netra, who is hired to be an undercover agent by ACP Saumya, who is desperate for a promotion. While Netra wants to live her life to the fullest as she has just 100 days to live, this undercover operation is the last chance for Saumya to prove her worth before she is shifted to a desk job. It's a fun story of a dysfunctional jodi and the chaos that follows after they join hands to complete their respective goals in 100 days.
Lara Dutta makes her digital debut with Hundred. The actress reveals that one of the reasons she chose to do the show was because she has never played a cop. "The makers have carefully scripted the show to bring alive action and humour in a very entertaining way. One of the many reasons I chose to do the show is because I have never played a cop on screen and my character is trying hard to survive in a man’s world. She has very interesting dynamics with the people in her life and the more complex a situation, the more she thrives. She is nothing like me in real life," said Lara in a statement.
Rinku Rajguru called her digital debut with Hundred a roller-coaster ride. Speaking about her character, she said,"Netra Patil is a bindaas Marathi mulgi who is trying to live her life to the fullest. What drew me towards the show is the way this character has been moulded people will see a different side of her in each episode."
The series has been directed by filmmakers Ruchi Narain, Ashutosh Shah and Taher Shabbir. Along with Lara and Rinky, the series also stars Karan Wahi, Rajeev Siddhartha, Sudhanshu Pandey, Parmeet Sethi, Rohini Hattangidi, Arun Nalawde and Makarand Deshpande.
