Thalaivar Rajinikanth, MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings come together for spectacular Kaala-CSK mashup teaser

Two Indian powerhouses and darling sons of Chennai came together to tease their impending arrivals and potential domination in a teaser video. The thalaivar of Indian cricket, MS Dhoni, delivers the inimitable lines of superstar Rajinikanth in a promotional video for his upcoming movie Kaala and it has obviously sent the fans into a frenzy.

Thalaivar Rajini too features in the video and so do Dhoni’s fellow Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Harbhajan Singh, Dwayne Bravo and Murali Vijay, who all channel their inner Thalaivar.

The Kaala teaser begins with CSK’s new spinner Harbhajan lip-syncing Nana Patekar’s lines in the movie before local boy Murali Vijay and Windies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo deliver equally uber-cool lines from the Rajinikanth starrer. Then, MS Dhoni aptly fulfills his finisher role signing off with a quintessential Rajinikanth dialogue, “Kya re setting ah?”

Two-time winners Chennai Super Kings will face defending champions Mumbai Indians in the opening match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 7 April. CSK, the most successful franchise in IPL, and inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals (RR) have made a re-entry into the cash-rich Twenty20 cricket league after serving a two-year ban imposed on them for betting.

The gangster film Kaala, written and directed by Pa Ranjith, also features Pankaj Tripathi and Huma Qureshi among others.

The film is set to release on 27 April.
