In a story that has got surprisingly little play in the wrestling media so far, Dave Meltzer in last week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE wrestler Ron "R-Truth" Killings had been recently hospitalised with convulsions.  Other details of note from Meltzer's report were:

  • The convulsions were apparently due to Killings suffering from walking pneumonia.
  • It was a near death situation as oxygen was not getting to his brain, so he was very lucky that he suffered the convulsions while he was around colleagues who rushed him to the hospital.
  • The bout of pneumonia was blamed on Killings being tired and run down from the WWE schedule.
Meltzer reiterated this story on his December 20th Wrestling Observer radio show, adding that he is still recovering from this health scare, but is on course to be back in the ring within a fortnight.  Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net shared Meltzer's concern, but had no further details to add to this disturbing story.
