Halle Berry will star in and produce “Mother,” an indie comedy that’s being developed to go into production early next year.

Emilio Ferrari and Berry’s manager Vincent Cirrincione are producing along with the actress, and Chris Miller is exec producing. Ferrari’s Entertainment 7 is financing via a film fund through FCM Capital Partners and selling worldwide rights.

“Mother” is the story of a bride who leaves her mobster fiance at the altar and goes on the run. She pretends to be a young man’s mother so she can hide out with him but her wild ways turn everything upside-down.

Pablo Fenjves wrote the script.

Berry was most recently seen in “The Call” and is in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” She is repped by CAA, Cirrincione and Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson and Binder.

Entertainment 7 is also financing romantic comedy “Getting a Guy in 10 Days.” Ferrari is on board to direct pic and plans to begin shooting in October. Christine Peters and Garrett Grant are producing with Chris Miller exec producing.

Story centers on two longtime female enemies competing to land the same advertising client in a competition set up by their fathers without their knowledge. Peters wrote the script with Tiffany Romigh with a polish by Hunter Perot and Drew Murrey.

Ferrari said the film will have a similar tone to “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” which Peters produced.

Romigh is repped by APA and Anonymous Content.
