Goa’s second international airport is here and all set to start operations from January 5, 2023. The New Goa Airport or Manohar Parrikar International Airport in Mopa comes as a great news as now travelling to Goa will no longer be a hassle. And here’s why.

Till now, Goa has only one international airport, located in Dabolim. The Dabolim International Airport is one of the busiest airports in India, thanks to the number of tourists heading to Goa at any given season. The airport is shared with the Indian Navy, and because of this, there are several rules in place. Private carriers not allowed to fly for four hours every morning is an example.

Also, the airport is almost always packed with flyers coming in or flying out. Especially during the peak hours.
