NEW DELHI: The Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday proposed to initiate an integrated B.Ed programme for teachers to improve the quality of teachers in the country.

The announcement was made during the Union Budget speech of finance minister on February 1, 2018.

In his proposal, the FM said, "We now propose to treat education holistically without segmentation from pre-nursery to Class 12. We will initiate an integrated B-Ed programme for teachers. Training of teachers during service is essential."

He also said that technology will be the biggest driver in improving the quality of education.

This year Budget session has a lot in store for the education sector in India and the main aim is shifting from blackboard to digital board.

The Indian state of Maharashtra will hold the first CET for Integrated B.Ed.

Here's the pattern for B.Ed-M.Ed (Three Year-Integrated Full Time Course)
  • Maximum Marks: 100 Marks
  • No. Of Questions: 100
  • Medium of CET: English and Marathi
  • Mode of Examination: Online
  • No Negative Marking
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions with four options
