Asuran actor Nitish Veera passes away due to COVID-19
Tamil actor Nitish Veera, known for his performances in movies such as 'Pudhupettai' and 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu' has passed away after he was tested positive for COVID-19. The young actor had also acted in important roles in films like Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' and Dhanush's 'Asuran'.
Nitish Veera's demise is yet another shocking death in the Tamil film fraternity due to the coronavirus infection. While the second wave of coronavirus seems to be infecting a lot a people, it has also been reason for a number of deaths in the Tamil film industry over the last few months. Nitish Veera was tested positive for COVID19 and he was under treatment, but the doctors couldn't save him.
Nitish Veera is from Madurai and has two daughters, aged 8 and 7. He recently bought a car, met at each of his friends and to show them the car and enjoyed taking them for a round. The Tamil film fraternity extended their heartfelt condolences to the family through their social networking pages.
Actor Nithish Veera, who played one of Rajinikanth’s sons in Kaala, and starred in a slew of films, including Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2 and Raatchasi, played an important a part of Vetri Maaran’s Asuran. He is best known for his roles in films such as Pudhupettai, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Netru Indru, Padai Veeran, Kaala and Airaa.
In an earlier interview with us during the release of Asuran, Nithish spoke about working Dhanush again for the second time and said “It was my debut film and I got to work with Dhanush in it. After a really long gap, I’ve shared screen space with him again in Asuran. At that time, Dhanush was only an actor. Now, he is also a producer, director and a global star. Despite seeing success, he is still the same person — simple and humble.”
The talented actor is also said to have played a pivotal role in Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan's 'Laabam' directed by SP Jananathan. The National Award winning director director SP Jananathan had passed away earlier in March, 2021, after undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Nitish Veera would be seen essaying the friend of Vijay Sethupathi in the film.
