UP Police arrests 108 more PFI activists

NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested 108 activists of the Popular Front of India (PFI) in the past four days for alleged involvement in the violent anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests, the state’s acting director general of police Hitesh Awasthi said on Monday.
Meerut accounts for the highest number of latest arrests (21), followed by Varanasi (20), Bahraich (16) and Lucknow (14).

This is in addition to the 25 PFI functionaries arrested earlier by the UP police for allegedly inciting violence in the state during the anti-CAA protests on December 19-20. Meerut accounts for the highest number of latest arrests (21), followed by Varanasi (20), Bahraich (16) and Lucknow (14).
