NITs cutoff 2024 for B.Tech Civil Engineering (CE)

NITs cutoff for B.Tech civil engineering will be depending upon the following factors:

Amity University, Noida B.Tech Admissions 2024

Asia's Only University with the Highest US & UK Accreditation

UPES B.Tech Admissions 2024

Ranked #52 among universities in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA | 100% Placements | Last Date to Apply: 31st May

  • Difficulty level of JEE Main 2024
  • The overall performance of candidates in the entrance test
  • Previous year’s NITs cutoff
  • Number of applications received for admission to civil engineering programme
  • Total number of questions asked in the examination
  • The number of sanctioned seats in a particular NIT
  • The reputation of the Institute

What are the chances of NITs cutoff for B.Tech Civil Engineering (CE) increase or decrease?

Candidates must note that if the number of applications increases, the NITs cutoff 2024 for B.Tech civil engineering will also likely go up. Same way, if the number of sanctioned seats is lower, it can again push up the NIT cutoff 2024. Alternatively, if the number of seats is higher, the cutoff tends to be lower. Also, the reputation of the institute is a big factor as well; for example, the competition for seats, say at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, is likely to be higher than at NIT, Mizoram.

Questions related to JEE Main

Have a question related to JEE Main ?

Hello,

With a 69 percentile in JEE Main, it is highly unlikely for your son to secure admission in IIT Bombay. Admission to IITs, including IIT Bombay, is based on the JEE Advanced exam, for which qualification through JEE Main is required. Generally, to qualify for JEE Advanced, candidates need to be in the top 2,50,000 ranks in JEE Main, which typically requires a higher percentile than 69.

Hope this helps,

Thank you

Hello,

If you have taken a CBSE improvement exam and there is no explicit option to indicate this on the JEE Advanced application form, you should proceed by entering the details of your original CBSE board exam, including the year of passing and marks obtained. Alongside the application, you may need to submit supporting documents, such as a copy of your admit card or mark sheet indicating your appearance for the improvement exam. In case of any uncertainty or if you require further clarification, it's advisable to contact the JEE Advanced exam authorities directly

Hope this helps,

Thank you

Hello!

I assume you want to know if you are eligible for JEE exam. The minimum percentage required for JEE exam is 75% in class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. In addition to this, they should be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 exam. For SC, ST and PwD candidates, the required marks is 65%.

If I am not wrong, you have secured 76.67%. So, you are eligible for JEE if you satisfy all the other criterias.

Hello,

Yes, pursuing a BA alongside JEE preparation can be a good idea as it provides a well-rounded education and a backup option. In BA, you can choose subjects like English, which can complement your JEE preparation by enhancing your language and communication skills. Additionally, subjects like Mathematics or Physics can provide a strong foundation for engineering entrance exams like JEE. It's essential to strike a balance between your JEE preparation and BA studies to ensure success in both.
