JEE Main exam pattern 2024: NTA has released the JEE Main 2024 exam pattern for sessions 1 & 2 at jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates can check the JEE paper pattern 2024 on this page. JEE Mains exam pattern 2024 comprises the marking scheme, exam duration, types of questions, mode of paper, and much more. The JEE BTech exam has 90 questions, with 30 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Out of these 30 questions, 20 will be multiple-choice questions and 10 will be questions with numerical value answers. Candidates must check the JEE Mains syllabus along with the paper pattern to prepare for the entrance exam. National Testing Agency conducted the JEE Main exam for session 2 on April 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 12. JEE Main 2024 will be a computer-based test.

As per the IIT JEE exam pattern, each subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative markings for both Section A and Section B. For each question in Section B, a candidate has to enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad designated to enter the answer. For Section B, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

As per JEE Mains paper pattern 2024 for B.Tech candidates, the entrance exam has three sections that have 25 questions each (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). The total mark is 300 marks.
According to the JEE Main 2024 exam pattern, for MCQs, +4 marks for each correct answer is awarded and -1 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer. There is no negative marking for numerical based questions.
