SURAT:
Ventura AirConnect, an airline company floated by the diamond barons and a leading realtor from the diamond city, Saturday announced its plans to launch flight services from Surat to
Amreli starting from Dusshera festival.
The airline, which operates two nine-seater Cessna Grand Caravan aircrafts, had relaunched its services in
Gujarat with the launch of Surat-Bhavnagar flight in June and the subsequent addition of flights from Surat to Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Kandla starting from July 1.
The airline has partnered with the Gujarat Government’s Gujarat State Aviation Infrastructure Company Limited (GUJSAIL) to connect important destinations across Gujarat. For this, the company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the State Government.
At present, the airline operates on Surat-Bhavnagar, Surat-Rajkot, Surat-Kandla, Surat-Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad-Kandla routes.
A meeting was organised in Varachha where the company officials and its owners to provide information on the Surat to Amreli flight operations. The leaders from Amreli district, who are associated with the diamond and embroidery industries, booked around 2,127 tickets on the spot during the upcomg Diwali vacation period.
Director of Ventura, Ishwar Dholakia told TOI, “We have received phenomenal response for the Surat-Amreli operations. Over 2,100 tickets have already been booked by the people from Amreli settled in Surat. The passengers will travel to Amreli during the upcoming Diwali vacation and return back before the industry opens”
