Every year on July 26, India celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas to mark India's victory over Pakistan in 1999. The Indian Army captured 'Tiger Hill' and other important posts around it under 'Operation Vijay'.

1. Shershaah (2021)

Directed by Vishnuvardhan, Shershaah is the story of Param Vir Chakra awardee Indian soldier Captain Vikram Batra. With his bravery and unflinching courage, he contributed to winning the Kargil War in 1999.

2. LOC Kargil (2003)

LOC Kargil starring Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, and Saif Ali Khan is based on the real story of the Kargil war fought between India and Pakistan in 1999.

3. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020)

The story is inspired by the life of a fearless young officer who made history by becoming the first Indian female Air Force officer to fly in a combat zone during the 1999 Kargil War.

4. Lakshya (2004)

Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the fictional film is about an aimless, jobless, irresponsible grown man who joins the army and matures into a battlefield hero.

5. Dhoop (2003)

Directed by Ashwini Chowdhary, the film deals with the aftermath of the death of Captain Anuj Nayyar, an Indian Army officer who sacrificed his life defending 'Tiger Hill' from Pakistani troops.
