Geography

Tokelau is an island state in the southern Pacific Ocean, east of Australia and about 500 km north of Samoa. The dwarf state has a total area of only 12 km² (five mi²) and a total coastline of 101 km (62.8 mi). This land area is about 3.6 times the size of NY Central Park. In terms of area, Tokelau is the smallest country in Oceania and the fourth smallest in the world.
