Nadda pays oblation at Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata

Nadda pays oblation at Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata

Kolkata, Aug 13 (UNI) BJP National President J P Nadda, who embarked on a two-day visit to West Bengal, offered his obeisance to Goddess Kali at Dakshineswar Temple here on Sunday.
After offering the oblation, Nadda said he prayed to The Almighty, and sought strength and blessings from Her for the party members to remain dedicated to the service of “Maa Bharati".
Nadda said he prayed to the Goddess for power, energy and strength for the people and the party so that under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India can flourish as a developed nation, not only physically but also spiritually.
Earlier on Saturday, Nadda interacted with the West Bengal Panchayat Election candidates and families of the victims of poll violence in Kolkata.

He alleged that the state's Mamata Banerjee government has stooped to a new low in launching attacks against political adversaries, disregarding due electoral processes, and tearing down the fabric of democracy.

" It is highly unfortunate that West Bengal has been thrown into a state of anarchy, corruption, and lawlessness by the state government. BJP will not tolerate this decimation of the people's voice, and we will continue to fight for their rights democratically, " Nadda asserted.
Alleging that the right to expression is being crushed in West Bengal, he said, "There is widespread violence and lawlessness here, and Mamata Banerjee is going around as the champion of democracy. "
Taking strong exception to what happened in the state during the Panchayat election, Nadda said, "It is said what Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow. Bengal has led the nation's progress in art, culture, language, and literature but unfortunately, it is going through a period of trouble and there are no values of democracy left here today. "
"on 14th August, the nation will observe Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. It is saddening and shameful that West Bengal today has to witness the same violence and bloodshed following every election that it saw during partition, " the BJP President iterated.
