Eagle Square - Langkawi, Malaysia

We arrived on the island by ferry and saw a huge figure of an eagle just from the pier. This majestic red-brown sculpture is the symbol of Langkawi island. Eagle Square is the island's most famous man-made attraction. According to local legends, the name "Langkawi" means "eagle" and "red-brown color". This kind of eagles live in this area and tourists have an opportunity to see this gorgeous birds any time. The square is located in Kuah which is the main town on the island. It is also located close to other attractions such as Taman Legenda Langkawi so tourists can combine a trip here with several other points of interest.
