Saina Nehwal, one of the biggest names in Indian badminton has hinted that she may have to consider retirement. Speaking to reporters during an event in New Delhi on Wednesday, London Olympic bronze medalist said that the injury issues which she is dealing with for quite some time now may force her to call time on her legendary career.

The former World Number One will not be going for the upcoming Asian Games due to be held in China as she missed the trials due to "fitness issues." "Saina Nehwal will not be participating as she has some fitness issues," BAI secretary Sanjay Mishra had told PTI.
The last time we saw Saina Nehwal in action was at the Orleans Master back in April 2023 as she has been suffering with injury issues throughout the course of her career which led to a decline in her career trajectory.
