Fact Check on viral Bolero image: Mahindra Bolero is the bread and butter offering from India's leading utility maker Mahindra and Mahindra. The company had already updated the SUV with new features including the twin-peak logo found on majority of Mahindra SUVs nowadays. Recently, a new image has been posted by a website which goes by the name 'betulsamachar' of a digitally rendered SUV which is being claimed as the new-age Bolero.
Fact Check by the Times Drive team has revealed that this is a just a digitally curated image put together to give it Bolero-inspired design, however, it has nothing to do with the actual model.
The digital artist has used several elements to give the car a rather dominating look. Vertical chrome slats placed at the front main grille, along with the twin peaks logo have been used to give the car a Mahindra look, however, the lights have been borrowed from the new Land Rover Defender SUV, and the front bumper also has a muscular design along with sporty red inserts.
The number plate of the model has been edited very smartly and the artist has also added 'New Bolero' on the plate that might confuse non-experts on the subject.
