Born Diana Mariam Kurian, she starred primarily in south Indian films, before debuting in Hindi this year, with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan.
Her 75th film, Annapoorani, released earlier this month.
Nayanthara is set to appear in upcoming Tamil films Test and Mannangatti Since 1960.
