Manchester United former striker Diego Forlan reveals he’s backing Liverpool for Premier League glory
Striker says Kop chief Jurgen Klopp has big advantage as he has had more time than Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte to mould the team he wants
DIEGO FORLAN was a huge fans' favourite at Manchester United for his goal record against bitter rivals Manchester United.
But now the Uruguayan striker is one of the Kop's biggest backers in the Premier League title race.
Old Trafford supporters still have vivid memories of Forlan's double in a 2-1 victory at Anfield in the Prem in December 2002.

That moment came at the peak of Alex Ferguson's long-running, legendary spell as United boss.
And now it is the rising influence of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp that makes Forlan fancy the Prem leaders so highly.
The 37-year-old star of Indian Super League club Mumbai City told Emirati paper The National: "Liverpool just need to keep going and have lucky with injuries.
"Having no European football helps, and their players have gelled together well.
"They do not have a player in the class of Luis Suarez, but Philippe Coutinho is very good.
"Klopp has an advantage over (United boss Jose) Mourinho and (Chelsea manager Antonio) Conte as he has been at his club for longer.
"His players are confident and have scored more goals than any other team in the Premier League.
"My only concern for them is that they concede too often - letting in more than any other team in the top seven."
Liverpool are one point clear of second-placed Chelsea after bagging 30 goals and conceding 14 in 11 matches.
Forlan added: "Liverpool have not won the league since 1990 but after Leicester City won the title last season, I see no reason why another side not used to winning it cannot do the same."
Forlan, capped 112 times, hit just 10 goals in a patchy two-year spell with United.
But he then thrived with Villarreal and Atletico Madrid, where he sunk Liverpool in 2010 with an extra-time winner in the Europa League semi-finals.
