Besides after paying 10.67L for a car, I'd rather have some skilled hands on it!

Do post the pictures here. I am now inclined towards the Urban Cross, need to do back to back test drive along with the Abarth Punto and Linea 125s.

What is the ex-showroom price on this one? How much difference compared to the standard one?
Also, any discounts?

Thanks.

Re: Fiat Abarth Punto : Official Review

Fiat Mangalore sold their Abarth Punto TD car. My friend bought it and that was a steal. He got it for a very good price and lot of goodies.

TD car was white and my friend wanted black. Dealer repainted the car to Black for free and paint job was top notch.

He has got the car for around 3 lakhs lesser than current on road price along with repaint, Abarth pedals and reverse camera.

Car had run only 1500 KM

Re: Fiat Abarth Punto : Official Review

~9 Lakhs for the Abarth Punto is a steal alright, but I have my own doubts that it has really run 1500Km. The ODO of TD cars are generally disconnected by Dealers in India. I might be wrong too because there might not have been many test drives of this car; 1. because it is a Fiat after all and 2. it is in Mangaluru and not Bengaluru. Also it would've taken 1500 kms of many different driving styles of different drivers. But since it will all be covered by the dealer, i guess it is safe r than buying it from elsewhere.

All things said, 9 Lakhs is a wonderful price for a theoretically new vehicle. I wish your friend wonderful miles with this gem of a machine

Yes, he got it for a very good price. ODO reading is real. I had taken test drive of same car few months back and ODO was just 600 KM that time. Fiat Mangalore hardly sold any Abarth and I guess they don't have many enquires too. So they wanted to sell the TD car badly. Only concern is many guys would have literally abused the car during TD. Anyways, car is under warranty .

Re: Fiat Abarth Punto : Official Review

Does a custom catback exhaust void warranty? Or is there a way of getting a decent note by just playing with the muffler?

The below exhaust note is true eargasm

And has someone been able to figure out a way to get rid of the lipstick from bumpers?

You can check with Divya Sharan. He has wrapped his Evo's chrome overdose on the bumpers with black/carbon fibre and looks nice.

Any modifications to exhaust system will void warranty of an engine, from my experience FIAT is always soft on warranty claims. If you got decent relationship with SA then warranty claims won't be an issue. You can always change the end can to get a mild roar. I guess FIAT provides custom exhaust as an optional accessory for Abarth Punto just like the pedals.

That's what one would do if a better exhaust isn't offered by the dealer.

Nothing on their website, may be an Abarth owner can confirm.

Why not CF wrap over the lipstick? I must say it does take some time to get done properly, but it looks cool.

theredliner has included my ownership log above, please have a look at the outcome and decide.

Ha ha, 6 hours because it was a DIY be an inexperienced first timer (your's truly) which required multiple tries to get the alignment and placement right. I'm sure if you take it to an experienced fellow at a sticker-ing shop, it would be done in under an hour or two at max. Having someone to aid you actually is a boon and I was alone (kids and landlady weren't that much of a help apart from cutting the vinyl).
