Description

Perfect to begin the school year! Get to know your students, and have them explore the outcomes on Identity in the English language arts curriculum with a hands-on, fun and artistic project.

Students will uncover details about their own identity using the provided hand out, and using an imprint of their own fingerprint, they will create a collage-style art piece reflective of their own unique traits in the pattern of their fingerprint.

COMPLETE lesson plan, including instructions on collecting fingerprints (TWO ways!), as well as the specific English language arts curriculum objectives for Grade 7 in Alberta and possible assessment ideas.

This resource is fantastic for students grades 4 to 9.
