Charlotte Casiraghi has been ‘enjoying regular dates’ with a French novelist, according to local media - after splitting from her husband of five years.

The Monaco royal, who is Grace Kelly’s granddaughter, reportedly split from her French film producer husband Dimitri Rassam two months ago after four years of marriage, according to Voici.

And now it seems the niece of Prince Albert has found love again, seemingly move on with writer Nicolas Mathieu, a father-of-one and the winner of the Goncourt Prize.

The two were pictured in Paris Match as they took a romantic stroll through the streets of Paris, seemingly enjoying the spring-like weather. Relaxed and seemingly content in one another’s company, they went on to take a seat on the terrace of a local café for coffee.

While Charlotte is among one of the most glamorous royals in Monaco, growing up attending prestigious events like the Rose Ball, Nicholas’ background is significantly more humble.

Addressing his roots in an interview with Residents, he said, ‘In my reading, my yearning to write, and my academic career, I had always been eager to distance myself from my origin story in lower-middle-class provincial France.’

However, he ‘realised that my work should also reflect the people I had grown up with.’ He added, ‘I wanted to write about the places I knew, the bodies I was familiar with, and the lifestyles that had once been my own, all of which were underrepresented in contemporary literature.’

Despite their seeming differences in background, the newspaper reported that the two ‘never leave each other. Nor do they hide to be happy.’
