It is one of the major attractions of Himachal Pradesh as well as one of the popular Indian Sanctuary which is listed under World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2014. Great Himalayan National Park was declared as a National Park in the year 1999. This place abodes a rich habitat if alpine flora and fauna and offers travellers the largest and scenic national parks in India. The Great Himalayan National Park is surrounded by Rupi Bhaba Sanctuary, Pin Valley National Park and Kanwar Wildlife Sanctuary and is positioned at an altitude of 1500-6000 m and offers most incredible and stunning views of the enclosing mountains. The Great Himalayan National Park is sprawled over 754 sq km. In the year 1994, 256 sq km of land was drawn from the parking area and specified as a buffer zone or ecozone. The ecozone of Great Himalayan National Park holds 160 villages. Biodiversity of Great Himalayan National Park is extensive as it habitats a huge range of plants, animals, and birds. Great Himalayan National Park owns 375 fauna species which includes mammals, reptiles, molluscs, insects and birds. These animals are protected under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.  Gaming and hunting or hurting animals are strictly prohibited and regarded as a punishable offence....
