In A Mood For Some Vegan Kanda Bhaji

These Crispy Onion Bhajis are crispy, light, flavourful. Enjoy this naturally gluten-free and vegan snack made with chickpea flour batter, coated, and then placed into heated oil in a frying pan to cook until crisp.

Ingredients

2 large onions, thinly sliced 1 cup (100 g) gram flour/chickpea flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric 1-2 green chillies 2 tablespoons Coriander 1 teaspoon lemon juice 5-6 tablespoons water oil for frying

Step 1

Take a big bowl add the flour, baking powder, salt, cumin and turmeric mix them well.

Step 2

Next Add the chili, coriander, lemon juice and water. Mix until it gets smooth and thick as desired

Step 3

Now take onions and wash them, slice them thin and add in the mixture. Mix well until they are fully coated in batter.

Step 4

Now in a deep frying pan heat oil and fry the onion Bhajis on both sides Until golden brown.

Step 5

Take out in a napkin drain the access oil and serve with mint chutney and tea! Enjoy.
