Reliance - Innovation for India award winner

Reliance Industries discovered natural gas reserves in the deep waters of the KG-D6 block in 2002, the largest gas discovery globally that year. They completed exploration and production in 6.5 years, faster than the global average of 8-10 years. This was India's first deepwater project, extracting gas from 2km below the seabed when the country had no prior experience with depths below 90m.
