Barack Obama's Best Photos With Daughters Sasha & Malia

Over the course of President Barack Obama’s two terms as President of the United States, we were treated to some incredibly touching and intimate photos of the First Family. From state events to daily outings, walks, and vacations, the public got a glimpse into the life of the 44^th President of the United States that had rarely been seen in previous administrations. Of course, we have our favorite photos amongst the extensive catalog of images that chronicled the Obamas’ time at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. But we have to say, the images that always stand out most to us of former President Obama include his daughters Malia and Sasha Obama.

From 2008 to 2016, Sasha and Malia grew from elementary school kids to college-bound teenagers right before our eyes, and the many images that were captured during Obama’s two terms in office featured a side of the president that was so devoted to his role as a father. Whether he was pardoning a turkey right before Thanksgiving Day, or taking a casual stroll with his girls, Obama had some tender moments with his daughters that we all got to vicariously live through over the course of eight years.

Now, since we’re celebrating an important Obama birthday today, we figured one of the best ways to celebrate is to look back at a collection of these adorable #girldad family photos. When the Obama family adopted their dogs — Sunny and Bo — we basically lived vicariously through the first family as we watched them take their pooches for walks around the White House. In this April 14, 2009 photo, President Barack Obama is almost jerked off his feet as he shows off Bo, who was just 6 months old at the time! The Obamas are such a sporty family, so of course they’d head to a few basketball games now and then!
