1. Substance of the poem, Where the Mind is Without
Fear.
The poet's prayer is for the dawn of true freedom on his
country. This is possible in a state of freedom from fear
and ignorance, bias and separatism. Dignity and reason
wor here courageously and consciously through
obstacles. The ob!ect is to ha"e the broadness of thought
and action to attain perfection in freedom.
