I ventured to Panama in February with the idea of catching some waves, enjoying the awesome wildlife and working on my Spanish. In Boquete in the Chiriqui highlands is Volcan Baru at more than 3,400 meters, the highest point in Panama. I hiked through the night with three young Euro buds for nearly six hours to reach the summit at dawn and witness the sunrise from above the clouds. While an extremely challenging climb, it was epic!
