The only thing is that most of the characters from the first film have been killed, so he has to set up whole thing again. The story line, the idea that he told me about Rajneeti 2 is amazing and I hope everything comes on properly," Katrina said in an interview last night.
  • "I think he is busy with another film Satyagrah. If something really falls in place then it is good because I genuinely feel it is a good idea. It is something that excited me. I hope things fall in place," she said.
  • In Rajneeti the characters played by Ajay Devgan, Manoj Bajpayee, Naseeruddin Shah, Arjun Rampal and Sarah Thompson die on screen. However, there are chances that Nana Patekar might return in its sequel.
  • But Ranbir Kapoor is not likely to be the part of the second instalment as he reportedly decided to drop out of the film because his schedule is packed with other plum assignments.

  • "I don't know as he (Jha) has given me one line brief about it. He has not called me for full script as he is working on two films - Chakravyuh and Satyagrah."
  • When asked if she intended to do a serious film like Rajneeti, the 28-year-old actress said, "It is not a serious film. If another good film like that comes to me I will do it.
  • Rajneeti is a script (that) has been worked upon for time, like a lot of time was spent on research".
  • Katrina is gearing up for the Independence Day release of Ek Tha Tiger opposite ex-beau Salman Khan whom she had recommended to director Kabir Khan for the film.
  • "Kabir is dear friend of mine. We did New York in 2009. He spoke to me about Ek Tha Tiger after New York was released. I liked his idea and told him I will do it. When I was performing at a function Kabir told me that he wanted to meet Salman considering that I know him in person," she said.
  • "I told Kabir that he must meet Salman and talk about the idea as he liked his work earlier. So I asked him to try his luck with Salman, but I was not sure whether he will do the film or not," the 28-year-old said.
  • Katrina said she was "overjoyed" when Salman came on board for the romantic-action-thriller Ek Tha Tiger.
  • "When I got to know that Salman has signed the film, I was very happy. To get a good person to act...best person like him to act for this film....so in that way I was happy for Kabir," she added.
