Nora Batty actress Kathy Staff from the long-running comedy Last Of The Summer Wine has died. She was 80.
The veteran actress from Manchesterday had also appeared in a host of other legendary shows including Crossroads, Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Open All Hours.
Last of the Summer Wine producer Alan Bell told BBC News the actress had been ill for some time.
He said: "We're distraught, but we have very fond memories of her."
She last appeared in Last Of The Summer Wine in August - some 243 episodes after her debut on the show in 1973.
