Bollywood films are not just entertainment served in a fancy packaging, but they also pamper the audience with a completely gratifying sensory experience (well, most of the time). Right from some very compelling storytelling, to feet-tapping music and dance sequences, Bollywood films also feature some stunning landscapes and locales that leave the audience swooning.

And because we were quite taken aback by some of the marvellous locations where iconic Bollywood movies have been shot, we decided to curate a list that might help you recreate some distinct moments from the films for Insta-worthy pictures!

1. Hadimba Devi Mandir (Manali) - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

First seen in Mani Ratnam's 1992 blockbuster Roja, the Hadimba Devi Mandir in Manali nestled amidst towering cedar trees was brought back in the 2013 superhit film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani where Bunny, Naina and co. can be seen past its premises.

2. Dharavi Bridge (Mumbai) - Gully Boy

The Zoya Akhtar hit production Gully Boy was extensively shot in Dharavi and other locales around Mumbai city for the most part. However the 'Asli' song featuring Murad and Safeena as well as the iconic 'Dhoptungi' dialogue was shot on the Dharavi Bridge in Mumbai.

3. Panna Meena Ka Kund (Jaipur) - Dhadak

Jhanvi Kapoor's debut film, and Ishaan Khattar's first major Bollywood banner film Dhadak was extensively shot in parts of Rajasthan and West Bengal. While various prominent locations from Udaipur and Jaipur feature in the film, how can one forget the charm and old-world beauty of Panna Meena ka Kund in the film?

4. Aru Valley (Jammu & Kashmir) - Highway

This Imtiaz Ali masterpiece was dominated by strong visuals, and a lot of it had to do with snow-capped mountains, lush valleys, tantalising highways and landscapes of the Aru Valley in J&K's Anantnag district. No one can forget those alluring visuals of Veera and Bhati making their way through the mesmerising valley of Aru.

5. Hauz Khas Social (New Delhi) - Tamasha

Yet another Imtiaz Ali creation, Tamasha offered us more than the bewitching visuals from Corsica. Apart from a storyline that held the audience captive, the heartbreaking tunes from the song 'Agar Tum Saath Ho' continues to haunt us. The song was shot inside the premises of Hauz Khas Social in Hauz Khas Village.

6. Agrasen Ki Baoli (New Delhi) - Sultan

Also seen in 2014 Aamir Khan starrer PK, Agrasen ki Baoli was recently revisited by the cast and crew of Sultan where Sallu Bhai can be seen sweating it out with his training on the steps of the historic step well.

7. Sarkhej Roza (Ahmedabad) - Raees

Built in the memory of Sufi saint Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh, this 15th century monument in Ahmedabad known as the Sarkhej Roza played host to the cast and crew of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees. The 'Udi Udi Jaye' song was shot in its premises.

8. Athirapally Waterfalls (Kerala) - Baahubali

The Athirappilly Falls situated on the Chalakudy river in Kerala not only look mighty, but also make for a magical sight to behold. Often called the 'Niagara Falls of India', some of Baahubali's most stunning frames were captured here. Remember Baahubali's strong strides towards the camera carrying a massive shivalinga on his shoulders? Yes, that was shot right here.

9. Amer Fort (Jaipur) - Bajirao Mastani

The 2015 epic-drama Bajirao Mastani was shot in several parts of Rajasthan, but Amer Fort in Jaipur played a prominent role in the film. The 'Mohe Rang Do Laal' song was shot inside the beautiful premises of Amer Fort, apart from other shots in the film.

10. Laitlum (Shillong) - Rock On 2

How can we forget the picturesque visuals that Farhan Akhtar-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Rock On 2 presented us with? The expanse of lush green hills and valleys from Shillong that greeted us in the film were an absolute steal! The lead cast and members of Magik standing at the edge of the cliffs of Laitlum in Shillong was one of the most prominent scenes from the film.
