Startups are kicking Corporate Corruption out of India!

Startups are kicking Corporate Corruption out of India!

I have been selling computers to credit cards to large corporations over a decade and most of the times encountered procurement folks having vested personal interest in procuring even a tissue paper for the company.

You offer the best service and price and win the RFQ but you dont bribe this guy - They will make you lose the battle citing that you are not meeting an age old policy and a highly abused word called "compliance".

The guy who always made them happy won the war : I bet every sales guy would agree to this fact.

I am not blaming the entire procurement fraternity ; there are honest folks too but again the department itself is placed in the organisational structure having the maximum scope to commit crime.

The paradigm shift :

Last couple of years i was selling to most of the start ups.

None of the startups with whom i interacted had unwanted rules, even if they had- it made sense, were transparent and every individual in procurement teams were bounded by integrity, i was even happy loosing an order or two coz i knew it was a fair battle.

I knew corporations and startups are not like two different countries , it's the same people living in the same society but the sense of integrity and honesty observed is to be very strong in the later.

Being a startup : we made a commitment to ourselves to carry the guts, be bold and confront any kind of corruption in the corporate sector and be brave enough to tell the world. We dont mind losing business the right way.We decided to clean our house before we get onto the streets.

If you have encountered any professional in a company to be corrupt please feel free to mention the name of the company in the comments ( kindly do not mention the name of the individual ) .

With this kind of change, I feel proud and i believe to foresee even better, for the country .
