Everything happens for a good reason.

Everything happens for a good reason.

I'll share two stories of my life with you. No big deal.

My first story is related to Google Play and Admob. I created my "Hello World" Android app in late 2013. But, I started learning Android app development seriously from early 2014 and created a few relatively simpler apps. I opened the Google Play account in May, 2014, with generous help from one of my neighbors and published my first app on the very next day. But, I never thought about making money at that time. For me, it was purely out of joy. I never used Admob till Aug, 2016, as I always had this idea from another friend of mine that working with Admob was like working for peanuts. Now, we all heard the phrase, "If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys." Put that another way, if you are a monkey, you will get peanuts. But, I was lucky, that one of my students (now a prominent android developer) kept on insisting me to put ads on my published apps. I listened, implemented, found a different result than I have heard 2 years back.

My second story is related to course creation on Udemy. I got an announcement of an Udemy course approval on Apr, 2016, by a senior instructor whom I knew to be excellent in our field. But his course was not doing well and soon removed by Udemy probably due to poor quality. This led me to hold my endeavor on Udemy for more than one year till Aug, 2017, the day my first test video got approved with no such recommendation. But, again, I was lucky, that I found a few Facebook communities who always helped budding instructors like me in creating and publishing their courses. Again, I listened and the rest is a winning story.

In both cases, it was life-changing in the sense that, I found two ways to find joy, two streams of revenue only when I listened to my subordinate's and peer's advice, learned from them and applied in my own life. Good things happen (sometimes slowly) for a reason, and the only reason I found so far is by continuously doing good for others as much as I am able as well as always believing in my instinct and by saying, "Yes! I can do it even if nobody can."

You don't need to trust my words. If you do that's fine too, but you'll always get a scope in life to validate this. So keep learning and moving forward.
