Celebrating my 1st year work anniversary with Infosys. Sharing 🖋️ few of my learnings from this one heck of a year - 1. Willing to take risk - My move to Infosys from Otis was a decision not so easy. Working in a captive for a considerable amount of time, to back to a service company was a debatable decision. Put in simple language from being a Client to serving Clients needs a whole new mindset shift. But it was an essential move as I wanted to "explore" a new career path. Today I feel thankful I took the tough call then, as a whole new gamet of opportunities and possibilities have opened up in front of me. 2. Willing to go extra mile - There goes a saying "there is not much traffic jam on extra mile". Going out of comfort zone and putting in those grinds makes a whole lot of difference over a period of time done consistently. 3. Willing to make mistakes - This is a Big one, specially as you grow up on career the impact is bigger. But what I figured out is, it's better to be stupid to make mistakes, than being stupid not to make it. More than anything, you learn at a jet speed. 4. Being Hungry - this has a do a lot when you feel passionate with what you do. Choosing what you do is very crucial, than just to keep doing what we are used-to-doing. Thanking all my colleagues for the wonderful experience in last one year in this institute of excellence called - Infosys Digital Experience Looking forward many more years of success together. Thanking all readers of my #linkdinfamily to read through this far. #celebrating #workmilestone

🎉 Celebrating 7 Incredible Years with TCS! 🎉 Today marks a significant milestone in my journey - 7 years with Tata Consultancy Services, and what an exciting ride it has been! 🚀 I still vaguely recall the day I took on this adventure back in 2016, fresh out of college and full with enthusiasm to explore the world beyond the classroom. The journey began with my ILP program in Trivandrum, where the IT jargon and daily tie routine seemed a bit overwhelming initially. Yet, those weekends of exploration with hard-earned money became cherished memories as we soaked in the beauty of the southern landscapes. Fast forward to 2019, a turning point in my path when I made the decision to pursue an MBA. Choosing to take a sabbatical for higher studies was a pivotal move – "kahin pahochne ke liye kahin se nikalna jaruri hai." Armed with a richer understanding of the industry lingos and two years of hands-on experience, I ventured into this transformative phase. I owe immense gratitude to my alma mater, Great Lakes Institute of Management, for molding me into the professional I am today. The year 2020 ushered in unprecedented challenges with the onset of the pandemic. As companies grappled with uncertainty and rescinded offers, my decision to remain with TCS proved invaluable. It was during these trying times that I truly realized the ethical foundation and values that underpin the company's ethos. Rejoining TCS, I fused my academic insights with practical experience, embracing roles on the business front and engaging directly with clients. From there on, my journey took on new dimensions. Fueled by curiosity, I decided to move onto the next chapter, leading me to the decision to explore a new country. Pursuing Canadian PR, I encountered a market downturn just as it was granted – a formidable test of resilience. Yet, fate smiled as I navigated the challenging market terrain, leveraging my years at TCS and the skill enhancements I had accrued. My heart brims with gratitude towards TCS for shaping me into the professional I am today, and the unwavering support they provided throughout my journey. As the saying goes, "Opportunities are limitless, but one must be willing to seize or strive for them." I remain steadfast in my belief that the best is yet to unfold. Reflecting on my MBA years, one tenet has truly stood the test of time: "Your network is your net worth." As I look ahead, I am eager to weave my next steps upon this foundation, fostering connections that will catalyze my continued growth. Here's to the remarkable journey with TCS, the learnings, the challenges, and the triumphs. As I embrace the future, I invite you all to join me on this exciting path forward. 🌟 #TCSAnniversary #JourneyContinues #GratitudeOverflowing

30.06.2023 Guys let's go a year back by turning the pages of the calendar. This Day marks my last day at Tata Consultancy Services before embarking on a new journey—a sabbatical to pursue higher studies. As I reflect on my time here, I am filled with a mix of emotions: gratitude for the experiences, pride in the achievements, and anticipation for what lies ahead. Working at TCS has been more than just a job; it has been a significant chapter of my life. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt the welcoming embrace of a company that values innovation, teamwork, and growth. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring individuals. The projects I have been a part of, the challenges we have overcome, and the successes we have celebrated together have all contributed to my professional and personal growth. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned at TCS is the importance of remembering where you come from. No matter how far you go in life or how high you climb, your roots are the foundation of your journey. They shape who you are and guide you in making decisions that align with your values and aspirations. As I prepare to step into the academic world once again, I carry with me the skills, knowledge, and wisdom imparted by my time at TCS. This company has been a nurturing ground for my career, and the experiences I have gained here will undoubtedly serve me well in my future endeavors. The decision to pursue higher studies is driven by my desire to continue learning and evolving, to be better equipped to contribute meaningfully to the industry and society at large. I am incredibly thankful to my colleagues, mentors, and friends at TCS who have been an integral part of this journey. Your support and encouragement have been instrumental in my decision to take this next step. In closing, I want to remind everyone to stay connected to their roots, no matter where life takes them. Our beginnings are a part of us, and acknowledging them keeps us grounded and focused. Here's to new beginnings and to always remembering the journey that brought us here. #LastDayAtTCS #NewBeginnings #HigherStudies #Gratitude #RememberYourRoots #StayGrounded #TCSJourney #FutureGoals #LifelongLearning #CareerGrowth

My first job was with Infosys. This was the time when Infosys used to select the best of the best institutes. We went through three months of intense training and were thrown into projects where we had to learn and perform quickly. The first few years were hard work and long hours in the office, but it was still fun because we enjoyed every hour spent together learning new things and making this "Made in India" brand Infosys shine! The most tense moment used to be appraisal cycles. Deep inside, we were very proud of ourselves and confident of achieving our goals. However, any remark during the appraisal cycle putting us in anything other than the "excellent" bucket was like a soul-crushing moment. When it happened to me, it took weeks to get over it. Being ranked less than excellent was painful, even if the comparison was with the best of the best. Recently, in a conversation, a friend asked, "What would you change if you had to relive the same life again?" Strangely, my response was, "My reaction to the appraisal rankings. It was an utter waste of time to even ponder about it." So next time you get rated less than what you think of yourself, just brush it off and keep moving forward. Otherwise, you will realize you missed some beautiful moments of life because you were unnecessarily sulking on a useless point-in-time event that by itself will hardly have any bearing on your future. It’s your reaction to such event that affects you the most, and not the event by itself.
