I asked my self this question Well, the perception that creative designers tend to have more inspiration at night than in the morning can be attributed to several factors, though it’s important to note that individual preferences and productivity cycles can vary widely. Here are a few reasons why some creative professionals might find the night to be a more inspiring time: 1. Quieter Environment: Nighttime often brings fewer distractions and interruptions, as most social and work-related activities wind down. This quieter environment can help creatives focus better on their work. I love working in a quiet environment cause it gushes out more inspiration 2. Relaxed Mind: After the day’s responsibilities are over, one might feel more relaxed and open to creative thinking. The lack of pressure to perform other tasks can free up mental space for creativity. 3. Influence of Darkness: The darkness of night can stimulate the imagination in ways that daylight does not. The absence of visual stimuli can help some individuals focus inwardly, potentially leading to heightened creativity. I'm not a fan of the 'weighing scales' metaphor, work vs life feels to binary...to me it's just 'life balance', perhaps more like an 'orchestra of instruments' including, sleep, play, curiosity, movement, connection; where work is one part of my life but doesn't define me.
