Ambassador Touqir Hussain is right that Pakistan foreign policy is well past its 'use by date' but he beats around the bush when he suggests possible changes. That is because the Army, the owner and the architect of the policy, is infallible and above any criticism. Pakistan has become irrelevant on the world stage. It is nearly bankrupt, and is totally dependent on handouts. It has had 23 bail-outs by IMF. A massive Pakistan China Economic corridor is not producing desired results. For a longest time it was a client state of USA. It has now become a client of China. It used terrorists as strategic assets. It prioritized politics and security above economics. It bet it all on destabilizing India by fomenting trouble in Pakistan. It assumed that Afghanistan would be its client state and provide it strategic depth against India. It tried to differentiate between Pakistani and Afghan Taliban. All that to no avail! Here we are with very few options. The one option, making up with its arch-enemy India, that should have been on the top of the list is not even mentioned.

No one gives up power voluntarily. Pakistan is not just ruled, but colonized by its army. That is never going to change.

Hateful comments of your followers, misinformation, discrimination against Indian Muslims, Sikhs and minorities, muzzling media to Kashmir, and looking down on a country that's less than one-sixth the size of India – is not going to motivate people in Pakistan to become an Indian 'client state.' Whether Pakistan recovers in the near future or not, let's compare India with China.

Kanwal Rekhi I feel the incumbent Govt. in India has de-hyphenated Pak from its foreign policy; it’s only a component of our security policy. You will notice, Govt. doesn’t mention Pak unless questioned. This is a policy of “deliberate neglect and strategic disregard” for Pak. We don’t want to have any truck with a failed state like Pak; in any case, you have rightly and correctly mentioned -“Pakistan has become irrelevant on the world stage.” You are known by the company you keep and we have decided to ignore Pak and give it a cold shoulder. However, you cannot ignore the nuisance value Pak has and if they commit any infraction, they will be paid back in the same coin. 🙏

Pakistani behaviour may seem illogical and self defeating to outsiders, it's logical from their own standpoint. The raison d'etre of Pakistan is Hindu hatred and some weird notions of supremacy. If that's taken away, it can't survive. Their notion of defeat is not losing the wars but when it can't cause trouble in India. Explained well in the book Fighting to the End: The Pakistan Army's Way of War https://amzn.eu/d/bP1Hjk1 Any change can only be temporary for tractical reasons.

There appears to be some kind of explosion in MC1 Pak’s Uranium refinery. Possible that Talibans blew it up with a big bang heard until 30 ims away, and Pak is trying to cover it up. Hope this doesn’t become another big problem for the country to handle. It’s beyond belief that Pak hasn’t filed bankruptcy yet. When it happens the National shame hopefully puts a big dent in credibility of Army and turn the people more moderate and tolerant.

They should stop interfering in Kashmir and withdraw from POK. As they have never had any threat from India. Simply said India is not interested in it. Ask /Mandate all Militants/Terrorists / Soldiers to defend border with Afghanistan to check any nuisance from Taliban and work with Afghans to restore their Govt bring Democracy there with a locally elected fair Govt Consider India a #friendly country and seek Technology assistance to build their economy and ensure fair Democracy prevails.. Islam ☪️ also must have preachings of Peace that should be followed 1st. 'Jihad' etc. If in Quran Is probably relevant if someone is harmed then only retaliate else remain peaceful. Its probably not wise to take this out of context and consider every other religion anti Islam. Or may be just being done as an excuse. Some good learned Preachers in Pakistan should show light to all on Islam and Leaders should give correct direction to People/ Nation.

You are not comparing Pakistan with india but you are talking about your own desires. India was Russian client after its independence and now India is obeying america. A few years ago India was one of the poorest countries. A large number of people are still facing poverty. Indian policy is always against Pakistan.. in 1971, due to Indian interference Pakistan was divided. India funded terrorists in Pakistan, Kulbhushan Yadav is a recent example. In Afghanistan, Indian embassy is involved in terrorist activities and killings of dozens of innocent people of Pakistan. India occupied Kashmir and almost one million army personnels are there to keep occupation. Pakistan changed its policy. Pakistan is not supporting mujaahidins in Kashmir now a days but india started funding terrorism in Pakistan. India is using Pakistani rivers. Pakistan must revise its policy against India again. We must start support Kashmiris as Kashmir is our part. C-pec is our desired project, we will go with it. India cheat Pakistan's politicians every time, Aman ki Aasha was also an example.
