#MunshiPremchand, whose real name was Dhanpat Rai Srivastava, was indeed a prominent figure in Indian literature and is widely regarded as one of the most influential Hindi and Urdu writers. He was known for his progressive and socially conscious writings that often highlighted the issues faced by the #poor, marginalized, and oppressed in Indian society. He used his literature as a medium to critique social injustices, including the caste system and communalism, and advocated for social reform. Here's a brief overview of some of the stories you mentioned and how they reflect Premchand's commitment to common people and his stance against social injustices: Thakur ka Kuan: This story deals with the exploitation of the lower-caste villagers by the upper-caste landlord, highlighting the oppressive nature of the caste system. It portrays the sufferings of the common people and their struggle for justice. Sadgati: "Sadgati" is a powerful story that exposes the exploitation and suffering of the Dalits in a caste-ridden society. It depicts the struggles of a low-caste man against the oppressive and inhumane system. Poos ki Raat: This story sheds light on the poverty and hardships faced by a poor farmer during the harsh winter. It reflects the challenges that common people face in their everyday lives. Eidgah: "Eidgah" is a heartwarming tale of a young boy's desire to buy a gift for Eid, which is a celebration for Muslims. The story touches on the themes of innocence, poverty, and the simple desires of common people. Panch Parmeshwar: This story addresses the issue of dowry, showcasing the societal pressures and financial burdens placed on families, particularly those belonging to the lower economic strata. These stories and many others by Munshi Premchand highlight the plight of the marginalized and downtrodden, often challenging traditional social norms and systems. His commitment to addressing the concerns of the common people and his critique of social injustices make him a celebrated figure in Indian literature, especially in the context of social and political reform during his time.

In the wake of the Manipur crisis that has unfolded since May 3rd, 2023, this northeastern state of India finds itself grappling with a complex web of historical, ethnic, and political issues. The conflict, primarily pitting the Kuki hill tribe against the Meitei valley tribe, has plunged the region into a vortex of violence, leaving a trail of destruction and human suffering in its wake. To understand the current crisis, it is essential to delve into its historical background. My article talks about the same. https://lnkd.in/dvukkkSK

𝐋𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐘𝐀: 𝐀 𝐆𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡'𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 'Lapiya' or 'Lepa Paknam' (as known in the local dialect) was a historical practice in Arunachal Pradesh where individuals, be it slaves, women, or enemies, were kept as prisoners to prevent them from escaping. In pre-modern Arunachal Pradesh, rivalries and warfare were common among different villages and tribes. The Tani tribes of Arunachal Pradesh practiced Lapiya. Stronger villages would often embark on expeditions to weaker neighboring villages, extracting tributes and collecting slaves. Lapiya was also used as a means to punish criminals. Additionally, it is believed to have been employed in cases of kidnapped women to prevent their escape, particularly when they refused unwanted advances or forced marriages. Lapiya, once prevalent, is now a thing of the past and has been abandoned, presumably for good. However, it is important to remember and acknowledge this practice as part of our history, whether considered good or bad. By recognizing and understanding our past, we gain insights into the evolution of our society and the progress we have made. Today, Arunachal Pradesh stands as a vibrant and culturally rich state, cherishing its heritage while embracing positive changes. Let us remember Lapiya as a significant aspect of our history and strive to create a future that respects the rights and dignity of every individual. I am not a BJP-hindu and presenting underneath are my observations: #AyodhyaRamMandir helps in establishing BJP's Jai Shri Ram template. Ask it question on unemployment - Jai Shri Ram is the answer you may get in return. Same goes for issues comprising inflation and other economic problems. On one hand if the same means putting the blame for everything on Lord Ram on the other hand is equal to BJP government accepting its own inefficiencies and thus seeking help from the almighty. If not Lord Ram bringing in the C factor in discussions. C for Congress. It is also a C which is one of its favourites - Communalism. BJP has already accepted this fact - losing on votes of people of other religions in 2024. It just wants consolidation of hindu votes with other parties in the name of #LordRam. High on its confidence of bringing all hindus under the umbrella of religion, Ram is its efforts made in the direction of protecting each and every hindu from inflation, unemployment etc. No hindu living here suffers from issues which is troubling population belonging to other religions existing here. #Supremecourtofindia #Hinduism #secularism #constitution #republic https://lnkd.in/gSNwEBDU

When JP Morgan CEO said, Mr Modi took out 400 million Indians out of poverty, he is half right. Mr Modi, the Prime Minister took all the Indians out of poverty! Poverty of thought, since he being a poor man - pushed every other peer of India out of Poverty of thought. He said, be proud to be an Indian. Some half wits misrepresented him - saying that he only pushed Hindu's out of poverty. Considering the fact the there is no such thing as Hindu religion, Modi is all for India - the Bharat as a nation and its people. There were a few idiots like Mani Sankar Iyer, who kept on harping about education. My father just passed 10 th class. He had encyclopaedic knowledge about Vaishnavite lore and of course English literature too. What exactly are we trying to prove when we say that a leader did not have a Kosher certification? Especially when he is trying to build renaissance? Beats me! Mr Modi is a great patriot. He may be wrong considering other patriots like Kejriwal as competitors, and using below the belt tactics to get them out of fray. Perhaps, he has no other choices. Goodness comes in bundles. Certain goodness ought to be culled. Clean politics is a misnomer - Mr Modi has to deal with many many crooks. And he has to toe their line for the greater good. And a lot of these crooks want the end of Kejriwal. Death of Kejriwal in jail will not be a surprise. It was an attempt for the greater good. Jai Shri Ram. Honesty is accidental. To make it real, we ought to have smaller governing system. Central governance is a curse - also a blessing. To those, who trust what they hear - Naysayers ought to be drugged. As they do with Kejriwal! He will be part of mud by the time of election. After the election, everyone forgets him. That how the world runs. Glad we have a great leader, who understands the world. https://lnkd.in/evgwE_D8

Recently, our initial findings has published as a conference paper as a part of the Advances in Science, Technology & Innovation book series (ASTI). It is an exciting journey with Aarushi Rai who instills faith in me and my love for Bodh Gaya. It is our first publication as 'independent researchers' who put their money and time for 'the love of research'. Heartful thank you to Buddha and love people of Bodh Gaya. Here it is: Rajput, R., Rai, A. (2023). Un-Slumming the Slum of a Small Town: An Ethnographic Account from Bodh Gaya, India. In: Osman, A., Nagle, J., Tripathi, S. Swaraj (स्वराज) is different from independence. Independence has an inbuilt feeling of revolt. It is about getting freedom from - Physical slavery - Economic slavery - Societal norms - Religious norms - Joint family - Spouse There is no end. A large section of youth believes in freedom is "My Life My Choice" It is unfortunate. It is dividing humanity, nation, societies, families and themselves! Whereas Swaraj, a Vedic word (स्वराज) has rules (नियम) - Self Control (आत्म संयम) & Self Governance (स्वशासन) Bharat need swaraj not independence. Swaraj will come from strengthening the local self governance - Gram Sabhas and Panchayats. The problem of compliances with rules and financial auditability can be taken care by technology. Prabhat Prakashan Pawan Agrawal thanks for your time and a intriguing discussion on local self governance and books gift pack on Panchayat.

Reservation should be based only on poverty status. there are brahmins who are very skilled, very docile and not employed. what has the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) done to them? there are many priests and educated people who are underpaid or unemployed for long. the only focus should be to make an inclusive and educated society. the focus should not be on building vote bank. please do not differentiate people based on caste. talks about sanathana dharma makes sense only when caste is removed from the state - follow the private, IT tech companies in this. follow people like NRN and Premji In this. they have worked hard to make society inclusive based only on merit and knowledge. Narendra Modi ji only you can do this - sab ka saath, sab ka vishwaas. sab ka vikaas. check on ground reality is different about the vikaas and drive towards MPI Multidimensional Poverty Index and not poverty based only on PPP if India is serious about vikaas, it should focus on quality - now or never. budget and plan for MPI ?? creative economy budget ?? promoting art and culture - budget and plan ?? #vasudevakautimbikam - budget and plan agriculture productivity - results, budge and plan? what is agri GDP in 2014, what is it now ?? people will seek answers - slowly but surely.
'BJP will scrap Muslim reservation and give it to SC, ST, OBC,' asserts Amit Shah
