On my recent trip, a young pilot named Captain Neha Kapoor walked up to me and told me that she used to work at Cairn Vedanta. It made me happy to hear that people who have worked with us have succeeded in their careers. Pilots like Captain Neha are role models to our young girls everywhere. Through her hard work, she has proven that you can fly as high as you want. What makes me even happier is knowing that India has the highest percentage of female pilots across the world (12.4%)! If any young girl is reading this, I urge you to go after your dreams. Manzil unhi ko milti hai jinke hauslon mein jaan hoti hai. And as for the parents of our young girls, let them know they can be anything they set their minds to! After all, sky's the limit…

Anil Agarwal Sir - What is amazing is to see is the confidence that young girls possess today. Both, in having a clarity of mind and purpose. As well as the will to pursue and succeed! So good to see that they are not bound by any parochial barriers. And a lot of credit must be given to their families, friends, and the conducive environment which encourages such thinking and pursuit. The only disconcerting thing remains is that most such achievements are still largely limited to the affluent families and/or those coming from metropolitan cities! How I wish that this culture permeates across all strata of society - and where the means and opportunities are limited - the state - and even the corporate sector - steps in and sets up such "Centres for Fulfilling Dreams!" For both young girls as well as young boys.
